What do you think?

I'm pondering about doing some more YouTube videos on How to Crochet.

I go at a slow understandable pace, do you think my style would be good to teach people to crochet? Or do I talk too much and go too slowly?

It'll be a huge undertaking!! But I'm up for it!!!

  1. I think you should absolutely make more videos. I just watched your video on the crocodile stitch. You did a great job explaining each step and I am ready to get to making something with this stitch. Thanks so much for sharing! I can't see paying for a single stitch either.

  2. I think it would be great... I've been crocheting for 20+ years, and just recently started watching videos on youtube about specific stitches... and your style is very clear to me and easy to follow even for a begginer... the only thing is that I think you could play with different colors for the yarn to see which one shows better the stitches on the camera!
    thanks!

  4. New follower here! I love your videos on the crocodile stitch. I think you do a great job of explaining things. I'm more of a visual learner so I love videos. Take care.

  5. Thanks Sheila!! I love videos too.

I especially want to do a video on how to read a pattern. I think a lot of people don't know how to do this especially well.

  6. I stumbled across you post about the scale stitch while looking for something else. The post and the videos were absolutely perfect for me. You didn't rush and explained the process in a way that was easy to understand. I'm a leftie and I hold both hook and yarn differently but I was able to grasp that stitch easily. Now... got to sit down and make something with it!

  8. Your written and video instructions are great! . I'm a slow learner and having the written instrucations on hand - so I'm not chained to the computer - are wonderful. The videos help visually while the written give a boost with the mental process.
The video instrauctions at a good pace so that we can keep up stitch by stitch with you and not get left behind.

  10. you are pretty easy to understand on most things, but sometimes I don't understand WHICH stitch you are referring to especially at the end of the crocodile stitches. It is sometimes difficult to see with your hand in the way. Please be more specific and spread the stitch out and point to it so I'll know EXACTLY. But, I do appreciate you taking the time to share this with everyone. I've enjoyed working on this stitch.

  11. What I write here is true...my husband of 37 yrs passed away 1-1/2 yrs ago. It is taking me forever to move through my grief. I had reached the point where life was not making sense to me anymore. I'm 60...felt like when his life ended, so did mine. I was watching music videos with my grandson on YouTube, and he said "Look grams, crochet videos! Is that like the knitting you taught me?" (we stumbled across them)...I saw your video for the crocodile stitch and it was love at first sight! You helped me pass a little ways on my journey through grief..you showed me there ARE still new things waiting for me. I DO still have things to learn, things to do...my grandson won't wear a crocodile scarf (too girly grams..yuch!)...BUT..you have inspired me to pick up my hooks again...and I cannot tell you how grateful I am. The videos were so easy to understand (had to rewatch them a few times) but I got IT! Your voice is so soothing and calming and your instructions are clear and concise! (I especially liked 'just find a hole to put the hook in!' LOL Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into making these vids. I want you to know you made a difference, at least for me. Bless you!
